About this Event

Calling Planet Earth! Join the space race as young coders create mini-satellites and discover how technology helps our world. Make and program a model satellite using a BBC micro:bit and MakeCode. Work out how to adjust and keep your satellite in position and on course, or harness the power of the sun. See how it sends data back to scientists on Earth, or how we receive mobile phone messages or use GPS for directions.

Suitable for ages 12-14 (and KS3 11+ year olds in secondary school-years 7-9)

The 3PM session is unaccompanied. Adult/s are welcome to wait in the outdoor and café area of the Science Oxford Centre. All club attendees need a ticket.

Led by our expert club leaders, try out bespoke activities designed to provide science and technology inspired fun challenges. There is a different theme each week so we and you are always learning something new!
