Comprehensive Plan Meeting
Virginia law requires counties to review their Comprehensive Plans at least once every five years. Stafford’s current plan, last updated in 2021, is now being revised to reflect the needs and priorities of today’s residents and future generations. County officials rely on this plan when evaluating new development proposals, making public input essential to ensuring decisions reflect the community’s vision.
Public participation is critical to building a Comprehensive Plan that reflects the values and needs of the entire community. These meetings are additional opportunities for input beyond the survey.
Work upon the Comprehensive Plan is expected to be finished by the end of 2026. For more information, please visit www.staffordcountyva.gov/compplanupdate.
