Trauma Sensitive Mindfulnesswith Lucia Horan (USA)
Compassion & connection are keys to finding peace & happiness in a world suffering from fear & isolation. Cultivating compassion can relieve stress & foster kindness. The connected heart knows how to love & be loved.
Through the 5Rhythms Heartbeat map we become fluid emotional athletes. Navigating emotional terrain without getting stuck, holding on, or pushing away, transforming us into more powerful & resilient human beings.
You will learn embodiment techniques to work with emotions in a healthy & creative way. Dancing with fear & courage in Flow, anger & forgiveness in Staccato & with grief & surrender in Chaos. In Lyrical we dance in joy & generosity though to Stillness – compassion & connection.
Movement sessions will be integrated with a seated meditation practice focused on one of the Buddhist Heart Practices (Brahma Vihārā); equanimity, compassion, loving-kindness & joy. The balance of moving & sitting meditation cultivates harmony & wellbeing.
This workshop is designed for everyone, of every age and shape.
We recommend you have attended some 5Rhythms Waves classes prior to attendance. All workshop hours are prerequisites for the 5Rhythms® teacher training.
