Free Training Opportunity: Become a Blood Pressure (BP) Champion

This training equips participants with the knowledge, awareness, and skills necessary to help others improve their heart health, confidently initiate conversations, and guide individuals to appropriate support.

• Gain an understanding of High Blood Pressure and its significance.

• Learn about the risk factors that contribute to high blood pressure.

• Discover how to accurately monitor blood pressure and interpret the results.

• Explore general strategies for managing high blood pressure.

• Identify resources for directing individuals to further support.

• Learn the correct technique for measuring blood pressure using a machine.

Your company would have the option to check employees' blood pressure and acquire a measuring device.

Note: This training does not teach participants to diagnose conditions or provide clinical treatment advice.

Participants should wear loose-fitting clothing, as they will practice on each other.

While some individuals may feel uncomfortable taking blood pressure readings on themselves or others in a group setting, it's essential to note that those who do not wish to participate may not be suited to be a Blood Pressure Champion.

How to Find Us: We are mid-way down Crocker Street (opposite Crocker Street MOT) - 2 minutes' walk from Hurst's in central Newport (Hurst's is on the junction of Crocker Street & Holyrood Street).

Parking: Please arrive in plenty of time to find a parking space. The nearest public car parks are on Sea Street and Lugley Street (a 6 minute walk to Sea Street, Newport). There is also limited on-street parking nearby on Lugley Street (metered).
