Join us for a free photo walk through Downtown Brampton with Canon Canada + Brampton Arts Organization Photographer in Residence Laya Mendizabal.
Explore Brampton through a creative lens, connect with fellow photographers, creatives, and community members, and sharpen your photography skills during this guided photo walk.
This walk invites you to slow down, observe your surroundings, and experiment with storytelling through photography, capturing moments of light, movement, and everyday life throughout Downtown Brampton.
All skill levels are welcome. Bring your camera or smartphone and come capture the city with us.

Notice of Filming and Photography - When you attend this event, you will be in a space where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. Recordings may therefore include your image. By entering the event premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction.
Accessibility: Brampton residents can contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible (minimum of five days in advance) to arrange assistance or support to register and/or participate in this event.
Transportation: We can provide all-ages Brampton Transit Tickets to Brampton residents free of charge to those who need them for all BAO in-person events. If you would like to pick up a ticket for yourself and others attending with you, please email [email protected] prior to the event and we will have them available for you onsite. Tickets work for both Brampton Transit and Züm buses.
About the Canon Canada + Brampton Arts Organization Photographer in Residence Program
The Canon Canada + Brampton Arts Organization Photographer in Residence program offers a local professional photographer a $5,000 honorarium, a stipend of up to $1,500 for use at the Canon Print Shop and Frame Lab, working space at Canon Canada Headquarters and the use of a professional camera kit. This program provides a Brampton-based photographer with the opportunity to work in a professional photographic studio and showcase their talent through a final exhibition at Canon Canada headquarters.
