Wanting to stock your medicinary with the freshest herbs that are locally, organically grown and picked at their peak? Want to have options each month to choose from? Then follow all this up with a class to get the creative juices flowing? Well we are offering the Herbal CSH once again!Similar to how a vegetable CSA works, each month you will pick up your share. This includes 4 fresh plants to take home for medicine making, a 2-hour community gathering/class to go further into our monthly plants, and one medicinal preparation such as a tincture or salve ready to go. New this year, each month you will have between 8 and 10 options to choose from! Giving you the flexibility to work with the plants that you are most excited about!
At each pick-up from 6:30 to 8:30pm, we will spend our time getting acquainted with the friends you will bring home. Topics may include hands-on medicine making, medicinal plant gardening, or a general wellness topic. (Class topics will largely be left up to members.)
By the conclusion of the season, members will have a well-stocked medicinary of over 30 plants that cover most common health concerns.
Pick-ups occur monthly on the following Friday evenings from 3:30 to 6:30 in Portland. The following Saturday pick-ups are an option too, just let us know if that is better for your schedule. Location for gathering your herbs is in SE Portland.
