Our goal in creating this CSH is to offer our community fresh medicinal plants gathered at their optimal harvest time and with the deepest respect, so that you and yours will be empowered to navigate most common illness. Our goal is to provide a year’s supply of medicine from each plant, and a well-rounded medicinary by the end of the season. Our small-scale approach allows us to sink into the needs of the plants as well as our community.Gathering the Harvest
Pick-ups occur monthly on the following Friday evenings from 3:30 to 6:30 in Portland. The following Saturday pick-ups are an option too, just let us know if that is better for your schedule. Location for gathering your herbs is in SE Portland.

How it works
Similar to how a vegetable CSA works, each month you will pick up your share of amazing medicinals! This includes 5 different plants, mostly harvested that morning! These you can home take home for medicine making, cooking, and getting to know these plants in all their majesty. On the evening after gathering your share, I will be available to answer questions in an online gathering. Here we can discuss how these herbs are grown, help you get started with medicine making, discuss medicinal uses or whatever along those lines the group would like to delve into.
To help you visualize the amount of plants you will receive each month, imagine a quart jar of processed plant material (like chopped up for a tincture) for most of these plants, variations are listed below. For some herbs that are harder to grow or harvest in quantity, these may be dried or made into a medicinal preparation ahead of time. Plants are grown organically at our farm in Oregon City. A few medicinal natives will be ethically harvested to round out your share.
We have retooled the offering this year as we have been expanding the gardens and increased the variety and quantity of Medicine we grow! Outlined below you will see that each month you will have 8 to 10 herbs to choose from to make up your monthly share! Just note that each month might look a little different as nature doesn’t abide by our plans!
After each pick-up from 6:30 to 8:30pm, we will spend our time helping you become acquainted with the friends you will bring home. Topics may include hands-on medicine making, medicinal plant gardening, or a general wellness topic. (Class topics will largely be left up to members.) ! If you are new to all this, I will be sure we delve into the basic of medicine making and Herbalism during our time
By the conclusion of the season, members will have a well-stocked medicinary of over 30 plants that cover most common health concerns.
