About this Event
Event Photos

Join us for this month’s Community Session that explores the celebrations and events that led to today's Manchester Pride.

Manchester has always been home to incredible LGBTQ+ communities and activists. From the historic Section 28 March to iconic 90s Mardis Gras celebrations, this city has always been an amazing place to be LGBTQ+.

Join us at this month's community session as we dive deep into the Manchester Pride archives, looking at our city's history and the amazing journey that created Manchester Pride. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own photos, memrobilia and artefacts so we can share stories and celebrate our queer history together.

At a Manchester Pride Community Event you can expect:

Engaging Discussions: Connect with people from all over Greater Manchester and learn from the lived experience and knowledge of community members living in Manchester.

Guest Speakers: Learn from the experiences of people who organise and include LGBTQ+ sports groups in Manchester.

Networking Opportunities: Meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for creating a united community and wider understanding of marginalised communities in Greater Manchester. Exchange ideas, collaborate on initiatives, and explore potential partnerships.

Have a voice and be heard! We're opening up the floor for attendees to share their perspectives and experiences. Your voice matters, and we welcome anyone who is educated or has lived experience to share their knowledge.
