Community Resiliency Model (CRM) Workshop with Cobb Collaborative
About this Event
Join the Powder Springs Library and the Cobb Collaborative for an interactive, trauma-informed workshop introducing the Community Resiliency Model (CRM).
What is CRM? It is an educational and biological model designed to help you understand your nervous system, build confidence, and navigate the daily ups and downs of life. Through simple, sensory-awareness skills, you will learn how to manage stress, navigate adversity, and reconnect with your inner strength.
In this session led by certified CRM instructor Lesleigh Sanders, you will explore:
- Nervous System Dynamics: Understand how the body navigates stress by shifting between "high/low zones" and learn calming strategies to return to a balanced "resilient zone".
- Building Resilience: Learn how trauma triggers function as past reminders and practice specific "reset" techniques to strengthen your resilience like a muscle.
Whether you are looking for personal wellness tools or ways to better support your family and neighbors, this workshop offers practical, adaptable skills for everyone.
