Community Film Screening: Resilience – The Biology of Stress & The Science
About this Event
Join the Powder Springs Library and the Cobb Collaborative for a free community screening of the groundbreaking documentary Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope.
This eye-opening film reveals how toxic stress can trigger hormones, wreaking havoc on children's brains and putting them at a greater risk for disease, homelessness, Pr*son time, and even early death.
More importantly, it highlights the pioneers in pediatrics, education, and social welfare who are using cutting-edge science to protect children and help communities heal.
Following the film, we will host a supportive group discussion exploring how we can work together to prevent trauma and build a stronger, more resilient community.
Light refreshments will be served.
Please note: Parental discretion is advised due to the mature themes of the film.
