We would like to invite you to take a peek at our new Head Office & Education & Training Centre by being part of our first Winter Wellness Festival.
What to expect:
Health providers and community members are invited to attend a FREE health and wellness festival organised by African Women Empowerment Forum Charity (AWEF) in partnership with the Family Mentors Alliance (FMA).
The event will present key findings on the AWEF health inequalities report (2024) to share the current issues impacting African Communities who are migrants, refugees and sanctuary seekers living in the city.
There will be interactive workshops designed from lived experience to empower communities with practical knowledge to support wellness practices.
These will include wellness lifestyle tips for the home and workplace and the promotion of nutrition and healthier lifestyles through culturally relevant food practices.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet the 'Community Champions' leading on consultation that will shape the future strategic plans for the city of Nottingham.
There will be many opportunities to network with decision-makers and community activists working within the sector.
Refreshments and lunch provided.
