Opportunity House will host a public Open House on Saturday, November 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to celebrate its new Workforce Development & Training Center at 357 N. California St. in Sycamore, IL.
The new center is designed to create more opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to build skills, explore career interests, and prepare for employment. Through hands-on training, accessible resources, and career-focused learning, the center will help individuals work toward their goals while connecting employers with a more inclusive workforce.
Visitors can explore the STEAM Lab, career training classrooms, updated gymnasium, activity lounge, and more. The event will also feature tours, food & refreshments, and giveaways.
The Open House is free and open to everyone. Community members from DeKalb County and beyond are encouraged to attend and bring friends and family. Additional parking is available to the east and northeast of the building.
