Community of best practice LIVE: Becoming extraordinary

Our upcoming line manager event, Community of best practice LIVE: Becoming extraordinary, will take place on Thursday 29 January 2026, from 9:30am to 4:15pm, at Domain, Northumbria University Students’ Union, 2 Sandyford Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8QH.

The day will bring line managers together to connect, reflect, and learn from one another, with a focus on ‘becoming extraordinary’ as both a line manager and colleague in times of change. Supporting colleagues during challenging times and sharing practical insights and experience from across the organisation will be key themes throughout the day.

Time will be built in throughout the day for breaks, lunch, discussion, and reflection. We also recommend bringing a notebook and pen, or another way to take notes, as there will be opportunities to capture ideas and actions during the sessions.
