About this Event

We are excited to offer Community Herbalism Days with Herbalism Apprentices. These events are offered as spaces for inspiration, learning, and rejuvenation for anyone on a healing journey, personal or collective. Human/Plant relationships are the centerpoint of UGC’s herbalism apprenticeship program; so these meetings at the South Chicago Farm are designed so that participants can meet these dear companions where they grow. The goal of the Community Herbalism Days is to introduce community members to a different way of interfacing with plant medicine.  

Moving beyond Westernized paradigms of doctor and patient, we proffer an invitation to contemplate personal wellness in a communal setting.  Apprentice herbalist, with the support of the Herbalism Conductor, will incorporate practices of  co-being, mindfulness, hospitality, attentiveness, deep listening and playing with herbs.
