Community Health Worker Social

We would like to invite you to an exciting afternoon event that is tailored specifically for Community Health Workers (CHWs) like you. This event is designed to support you in your work and provide you with valuable opportunities to network, socialize, and learn from other CHWs in the field.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the impact of domestic violence, learn strategies to support those affected, and explore available community resources. Through expert insights and interactive discussions, this event aims to enhance community responses to intimate partner violence. During the event, you will have the chance to enjoy delicious food while engaging in meaningful conversations with other CHWs.

In addition to networking, we have also organized some giveaways that you can participate in. These giveaways are aimed at providing you with some resources and tools that will help you better serve your community. Overall, this event promises to be a great experience that you won't want to miss.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING INFORMATION

Location: The CHW Social will be held at the Fisher Building Conference Room located at 3011 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202. The Fisher Building Conference Room is on the basement level/Floor C of the building. Exit the elevator lobby to the left, and follow the hallway until you reach the conference room on the right, through the glass doors.

Parking: Parking is located in Fisher Lot 1, located west of the Fisher Building. You can access the lot from 3rd Avenue and remember to bring your parking slip to the meeting. A validation sticker will be provided during the meeting. Following the meeting, insert your parking slip (with the validation sticker) into the ticketing machine to exit the lot.

Entrance to the Building: Enter the Fisher Building using the entrance nearest the parking lot. Follow the hallway until you see an elevator sign on your right. Take the elevators to Floor C/basement level. Exit the elevator lobby to the left, and follow the hallway until you reach the conference room on the right, through the glass doors.
