About this Event
Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare is proud to host a series of Stigma Reduction Workshops in partnership with UR Medicine Recovery Center of Excellence, focused on addressing one of the biggest barriers to mental health, substance use, and seeking care.
This is not an academic workshop about stigma. It is a conversation for participants to explore stigma, how we support people with substance use disorder (SUD) and their families, and how we work together in our communities to reduce stigma. We use video interviews of people with lived experience to facilitate discussion, making it very interactive.
Attendees may park in the parking lot and enter through the hospital entrance. Walk through the lobby down the hall way, take a left passing the MRI waiting area, then take a right and follow the hallway down towards Amelia Breeze Cafe. The conference center will be on the right-hand side before the cafeteria.
