Community Connections: National Recovery Month @ Main!
About this Event
Want to learn more about what’s happening in your community? Join us in meeting local organizations and leaders working behind important causes! Learn about resources, services, and or volunteer opportunities available to you. Let’s build a brighter future for our community together. Community Connections is a recurring program at both the Main Library and North Quincy Library locations, where community members get to meet and mingle with local community leaders and organizations while learning about their missions and resources.
Join us this National Recovery Month to meet Gavin Foundation and Manet Community Health at the Main Library on September 12! Meet representatives from both organizations while we decorate our own mindfulness journals - limit 1 per guest; first come, first serve!
- The Gavin Foundation is a nonprofit multi-service agency providing comprehensive, community-based substance use disorder education, prevention and treatment since 1963. We work from a deep commitment to the community, providing a full continuum of care of services to more than 10,000 individuals and families in recovery each year.
- Manet Community Health offers a full range of programs and services to help patients achieve optimal health, including primary care for all ages, integrated mental health and substance use treatment and recovery services, disease management, nutrition services, health insurance assistance, specialty referrals, connection to social services/community resources and more. Manet welcomes new patients to its four Quincy locations (Houghs Neck, Manet at Father Bill’s, North Quincy and Snug Harbor) as well as sites in Attleboro, Hull and Taunton.
Can’t make it that day? Meet Manet Community Health Center at Community Connections at the North Quincy Library on September 26!
This program is made possible by the generous sponsorship of the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library. To find out more about their work and how you can get involved, visit the Friends of the Library webpage.
