Community Bike Ride with Firefighters!

Update 5/12/26: This event is currently "Postponed" until we solidify more event details, but please save the date for May 30th.

This event is open to the community! Here are some things you should know:

• The route begins and ends at the Parkfield Lake Park Amphitheater, near the Montbello Recreation Center. It will includes stops at the First Creek DEN Open Space parking lot (5600-5898 Buckley Rd, Denver, CO 80239), and the Denver Fire Department Station #2.
• Event parking is in the East Parking lot at the Montbello Rec Center.
• There will be limited helmets provided to borrow.
• Younger riders need to be accompanied by an adult guardian.
• Riders will be biking in bike lanes near/alongside traffic.
• Riders will set off in various bike groups to minimize our traffic.
• Participants need to arrive by 11 AM to participate in Equipment Check out and the Pre Ride Safety Briefing.
• The route is 3.5 miles roundtrip and will take approximately 40 to 60 minutes.
• What to bring: A small backpack or bag to store your phone, wallet, keys, water bottle, sun glasses, jacket, snacks, any Medic*tion (example: inhalers or sunscreen), etc. for a more comfortable biking experience. Please bring your own bike and helmet, if possible. A few extra bikes will be provided but are limited and not guaranteed.

Firefighters will also be at the ampitheatre's starting point along with other partners and resources for anyone who'd like to meet with the local fire fighters, but would not like to participate in the 3.5 mile bike ride.
