Volunteer with Vandy! Join Joe Birch and MIFA in making in our community. There is a DJ🎤 and each volunteer gets a complimentary drink from TQ’s Coffay🥤truck. Dress for the weather!☀️⛈️💨We volunteered here in 2025 for Commodores in the Community and it was truly a meaningful AND FUN experience for all!

What:
A once-a-month mobile pantry organized by Joe Birch, in partnership with St. Patrick Community Outreach, Inc and the Memphis Rotary Club, with food discounted by the Mid-South Food Bank. MIFA needs pantry📦 volunteers.
Next steps:
If you are a NEW volunteer fill out the MIFA application below no later than the Friday, MARCH 20. Be sure to select “Saturday Mobile Pantry” as the area of interest and list Vanderbilt for the affiliation.

Saturday, March 28 from 7:30am-10:30am.
Where:
Across from the FedEx Forum in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church lot (277 S. 4th Street)
Alternative parking is available at: Ida B Wells and Pontotoc, if needed.
Volunteers will help bag items for the pantry drive-thru and help pack food boxes for MIFA’s senior homebound clients. First, we will go through all the food the pantry has and select the items to best help our seniors.
Once those boxes are packed and into cars, the Meals on Wheels drive teams will roll out at 8:15 am sharp to deliver them.
We will then help at the mobile pantry itself from 8:30am to 10:30am. Hundreds of cars with families are fed at each event!
