Life-long local and arguably Maine’s funniest, down-home comedian, Johnny Ater offers up hilarious and honest stories about life, family, relationships, work, and his colorful local friends, which he brings to life on stage for all to meet.

Ater is not a bitter, self-hating comic, he’s vulnerable and embraces his uncool persona, which makes you embrace your own at the same time, winning over every audience, through communal fear of our collective and eminent nerdiness. THAT will make you laugh, BUT it’s his rubber face that you’ll be talking about for days after seeing his performance. Johnny has the ability contort his face in ways that will make you hysterical.

He’s your goofy brother, your dorky Dad, your silly Grandpa, but after a show with him, he’ll just feel like “Johnny, your funny best friend”.

KATHY GILMOUR

Kathy Gilmour recently moved back to the Boston area after living in Key West for 20 years. She was a resident comedian at Comedy Key West and has headlined many other stages there. In addition to performing all over the country, she has been selected to perform at the Boston and Hampton Beach Comedy Festivals, as well as the Massachusetts Funniest Competition, and she is a recent finalist in New England’s Funniest Competition. Her popular blog, “Diary of a Fathlete,” has been highlighted in many publications.

Kathy is a clean comic; audiences relate to her dry wit and awkward take on everyday situations. Her inspiration comes from working with the general public throughout her adult life, traveling the world, and, mostly, the clarity that comes from a good nap. She would almost always rather be home on her couch with her dog.

MAZ ISMAEL

Maz Ismael is an Egyptian standup comic based in Boston, blending dark humor with sharp cultural commentary on life in the US vs. Egypt. His comedy has landed him at comedy festivals including Boston Comedy Festival, and Portland Maine Comedy Festival. Mazen performs all over New England including The Comedy Studio, Great Falls Comedy Club, Laugh Boston, and Roar Comedy Club. He’s also opened for multiple comedians including Fahim Anwar, Nasser Al Rayes, and Sydnee Washington.”

Crystal Bernard started performing stand-up comedy 6 years ago. Since then, she was a finalist in New England's Funniest Comic competition twice and a runner-up in Maine's Wicked Funny Laugh Off. She's also a member of the Great Falls Comedy Club.
