Comedy Night at Bruno's

Comedy is back at Bruno's with another fun lineup of comics featuring Megan Kellie, Jordan Kirchner and headliner Iris Benson. Hosted by local comedian Michael Booth

Megan Kellie has been a bright light in the Santa Cruz community over the last few year, a California transplant with experience in improv and public speaking, she brings a unique perspective to the stage and laughter out of the mundane, she also hosts the weekly ‘Bucket List’ comedy show at Rosie McCann’s every Monday at 9pm. A show where the audience writes topics for the comics and their job is to riff on whatever they pull out of the bucket to try and make you laugh.

Jordan Kirchner is a Marine Corps Veteran and a young comic from the East Bay who combines personal experiences, random thoughts and General observations into a frenzy of short stories and one liners. He has performed on stages like the Sacramento Punchline, Laughs Unlimited in Sacramento, and many other shows throughout the Bay Area as well. He produces several comedy shows under Fat Kid Comedy productions. His sense of humor has been described as silly and sexy by women over 40 and as “very good†by his father.

Iris Benson’s comedy has been described as “Bleak and honest ”, “pleasantly dark”, “wonderfully weird”. Glenn Sumi of Toronto Now described her as “least likable”, “angry” and “misanthropic”. Her deadpan delivery and off-kilter point of view have made people laugh in cities all over the US. She is a Bay Area favorite on many local showcases and invited to many comedy festivals including The Santa Cruz Comedy Festival (Santa Cruz, CA), Cape Fear Comedy Festival (Wilmington, NC) most recently the Idaho Comedy Festival (Boise, ID), the World Series of Comedy (Las Vegas, NV) and The Savage Henry Comedy Festival (Eureka, CA).
