Comedy Night at Bruno's

Bruno’s comedy night is back on February 8th with another great lineup. Hosted by local comedian Michael Booth, Bruno’s comedy night is a showcase of the best comedic talent in the Bay Area and more! This month's comedians featured are Jonathan Lyte, Candy Shaw, Doug Cordell and headliner Iain Langlands.

Jonathan Lyte is a comedian based in Oakland, CA. He has performed at the Function Comedy Club, Alameda Comedy Club, Cobb’s Comedy Club, Punch Line SF, The Battery, Laughter After Dark Festival Las Vegas, Drunk and Stoned Fest L.A. and so many other venues across the Bay Area.  Jonathan has a unique insight and weaves together jokes into his stories and guides you on a path of misdirection and personal yet shared experiences.  

Candy Shaw (née Churilla) is a Bay Area-based comedian. She appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and placed 3rd in California’s Funniest Female Contest (2009). She also performed at San Francisco‘s unique comedy celebration, Comedy Day and has opened for such greats as Mark Curry, Will Durst, Bobcat Goldthwait, Marga Gomez, Rob Schneider, and Tom Segura.

Doug Cordell is an Emmy-nominated writer, storyteller on National Public Radio's Snap Judgment and comedian. His credits include HBO, Disney, Don't Tell Comedy, San Jose Improv and San Francisco Punch Line.

Iain Langlands is a 25 year old stand-up comedian born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. His comedy journey began at the world renowned San Francisco State University open mic. He definitely went up there and spoke into a microphone but he walked away with an insight into the comedic process. His tenacity (or as the kids call it “beast mode”) has helped him become a passed regular at the San Francisco Punch Line, Cobbs Comedy Club, and Cheaper Than Therapy. Iain’s routine lead him to be featured in the Asheville Comedy festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, and become a Semi-finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition. He now runs and performs on 4 successful comedy shows operating weekly in the bay. All these fantastic opportunities have helped him build a routine around being Gen Z, discussions on bathroom etiquette among other topics a 25 year old is experiencing.
