About this Event
Step into a night of music, culture, and connection.
This special Sıra Gecesi brings the vibrant spirit of Mardin, Southeastern Turkey, and the greater Mesopotamian region to California — an unforgettable evening where music is not just performed, but shared.
Led by Mardin Ensemble, this concert recreates the atmosphere of a traditional courtyard gathering, where songs, stories, and emotions flow naturally between musicians and audience.
🌍 Songs will be performed in five languages, reflecting the shared cultural roots of Turkish, Kurdish, Armenian, Assyrian, and Arab traditions.
🎶 Featuring beloved repertoire including:
• Fincanın Etrafı Yeşil
• Nemrud’un Kızı
• Urfalıyam Ezelden
• Diyarbakır Yoluna
…and many more timeless sıra gecesi favorites.
🎼 Live Ensemble

(former TRT artist, academic, composer)
• Eren Erdoğan – kaval & zurna
• Aslıhan Erkişi – qanun & vocals
