Color, Water, Bloom! | Ages 6-9
About this Event
What can a box of washable markers teach us about painting? A lot! Young artists will use marker ink, water and paper in creative ways to explore the fundamentals of color mixing and color theory. Through hands-on experiments, students will discover how colors interact, build and name their own palettes, and learn how water and paper affect pigment. We’ll finish by putting these discoveries to work in colorful projects designed to let color take center stage.
Color, Water, Bloom is a foundational class for both designing with color and all paint mediums (particularly watercolor and gouache). Available for the first time through Art, Milk and Cookies, this class will give kids the skills they need to begin tackling more complex color design and application challenges.
