Drawing for Young Creatives | Ages 8-12
About this Event
This December, Art, Milk & Cookies is launching a brand new class designed to help serious young creatives deep dive into the fundamentals of drawing and visual communication.
Drawing for Young Creatives features an innovative curriculum that teaches children important drawing skills while helping them develop a personal style consistent with their own voice. We will begin learning how to "see" the real world, discovering the underlying structures and hidden shape language within everyday objects. Artists will learn important rendering skills including line confidence, mark making with various art supplies, and the structure of basic shapes.
At the same time, students will begin exploring the concepts of style and design. The goal isn’t perfect realism. It’s building skills, confidence, curiosity, and a visual voice that is genuinely their own.
Like all Art, Milk & Cookies classes, the purpose of Drawing for Young Creatives is to help children build artistic skills while also learning how to visually communicate with others in their own unique, powerful way.
