Color Mixing for Beginners

Join us for a free Beginner's Paint Mixing class at the Art Gallery at NWA Mall. All levels of skill welcome and no drawing skills required! For students 10 years old and older. Students younger than 16 must be accompanied during the class by an adult. The adult may sign up for the class or sit and read.

This one hour class will focus on the basics of mixing the Primary Colors (Red, Blue, and Yellow) to achieve other colors you desire for your artwork. We will go over how to achieve Secondary Colors, Tertiary Colors, and Tinting. Each student will receive their own Color Wheel to take home with them for future practice in mixing colors. Art Trivia: Did you know the Color Wheel was invented by the famous scientist Sir Isaac Newton?

All art supplies for the class are provided by the Art Gallery. We will be using acrylic paints. You are also welcome to bring your own, if you prefer your own brushes and paints.

TICKETS ARE FREE BUT BE SURE AND CLICK THE CANCEL BUTTON IF YOU'RE NOT COMING: Tickets are free. We usually have waitlists. So if you get a ticket and will not be attending, please be thoughtful of those on the waitlist and cancel your ticket. This will cause your spot to automatically go to someone on the waitlist.

You can easily cancel your ticket ahead of time by clicking the cancel button on the email you received with your ticket. Our policy is that if someone claims tickets but no shows without canceling, this deprived somebody else of that spot. So the no show person is ineligible for future free art classes.
