Color Hunting Photo Walk
About this Event
Color Hunting Photo Walk: A Creative Meetup for Black & Women of Color Photographers
Join us for an inspiring, creative afternoon of community, exploration, and visual storytelling!
Whether you shoot on a professional DSLR, a vintage film camera, or just your smartphone, all skill levels are welcome. This photo walk is designed to be a relaxed, supportive space for Black women and women of color photographers to connect, create, and see the city through a fresh lens.
How It Works: The Color Hunt
- Pick Your Color: At the start of our walk, every participant will receive a randomly assigned, vibrant flower.
- Seek & Capture: That flower’s color becomes your visual theme for the day! As we wander through the city, your mission is to hunt for details, shadows, backdrops, and moments that feature or complement your assigned color.
- Share & Connect: Compare notes, bounce ideas off fellow creators, and capture the urban landscape in a whole new way.
Event Schedule
- Meet & Greet: We’ll gather at our starting point, pass out flowers, and go over the plan for the day.
- The Photo Walk: A relaxed, guided route through the neighborhood focused on color hunting, street photography, and networking.
- Lunch & Coffee Finish: We’ll end our walk at the iconic Grand Central Market! Stick around to grab lunch, grab a coffee, chat about photo ideas, and get to know your fellow attendees.
What to Bring
