Beat Battle Day - LA Beatmakers

A beat battle is happening this weekend. Flip a sample and show off your production skills. Participants have an hour to incorporate a sample into a beat and will showcase amongst other contestants. Also available for those who are new and want to sharpen your chops.

**You do not have to participate to come to this event, this only applies to those who want to participate**

Here is how the format will go:

The beat battle will last an hour and will give producers an opportunity to make some music and showcase! Any level is welcome.

Please do not bring instruments unless otherwise noted, a laptop is mucho fine and a pair of headphones since this will be at a coffee shop/record store. Or something small preferably.

There will be a sample that the producers MUST incorporate into their beat

Beats should not exceed 1 min

12:00 - 12:30 : Arrivals and sample release

12:30-1:30 : MAKE YOUR BEATS!

1:30-3:00 : Jury of your peers/Showcase/Touch grass

What to bring:

• Some money to buy a drink. Please be supportive. Think of it as gratitude to the record store for letting us use their space. This ensures we'll be welcomed in the future.

• Yourself and the vibes! This is an informal space and the hope is that these meetups create an open space for collaboration.

• Computer/Whatever device Although unless specifically allowed, no large/loud instruments will be allowed, pack a laptop or a device of choice and come join!
