Daily Life in the Revolution
About this Event

The fight for freedom from England had a massive impact on everyday life in the colonies. While the men marched off to war, women stayed home and fought their own battles; they battled to keep the home fires burning.

This program will discuss the many ways women supported the revolution and still took care of home and family. We will talk about preparing meals, daily chores, and protected their homes and families.

This fascinating look and daily life during the revolution is led by Susie Worcester a talented and experience historical cook. She has cooked for a wide variety of historic sites and events throughout the region and taught classes on the art of colonial cooking. She will share historically accurate cooking utensils and their use as well as sharing colonial receipts (recipes) used during the Revolution. Susie has some fun things prepared as well.

Come join us for a look at the daily life of women in the revolution. Limit of 25 seats. $35 per person.
