Statistically, college is one of the most dangerous times in a young person's life.
No one wants to be a victim. But far too many college students end up becoming just that.
- 26.4% of female students, and 6.8% or male students expereince rape or sexual assault involving force, violence or incapacitation on campus*

- ALL college-aged students are 78% more likely than non-students of the same age to be victims*

With Live Ready® training, your young adults will develop the knowledge and skills needed to:

This course is expressly designed to address fundamentals of personal protection applicable for life, and gender specific dangers posed by the college expereince for both men and women.
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
Personal security is a fundamental human need, but ultimately an individual responsibility. In the moment of truth, the “lifeguards” of society simply won’t be there to protect us. We are, in effect, on our own.
Yet violence is never random, and even the most desperate predator is careful in selecting his prey. All “Bad Guys” — from the street predator to those who use charm and persuasion to create opportunities to victimize — follow predictable patterns. You can identify their behavior in advance through a few easily spotted indicators — but only if you know what to look for.
This course will teach your teens specifically what to look for, and how to manage their own personal security - anywhere, anytime.
- How to recognize warning indicators of danger, especially if you are being targeted by a "persuasion predator"
- How to recognize and manage “interviews” that often precede an attack
- What situational factors are critical to control, and how to never relinquish control over them
- How to use improvised weapons such as pens, magazines, and cell phones as powerful force-multipliers to incapacitate an aggressor from close range
- Defense against the most common grabs, holds, and chokes including how to get someone off you, instantly, who's pinning you to the ground
All Participants will receive a signed copy of Sam Rosenberg's book Live Ready as a takeaway

- Men and women ages 14+
- Ability to perform mild to moderate physical activity
