We are looking forward to gathering together on Monday, June 1st at 6:30 p.m. for our upcoming Collabor’Nation Walk and Talk.For this gathering, we will be spending time outdoors connecting to nature, place, and one another. The evening will be facilitated by Lisa Tough, Certified Forest and Nature School Practitioner, who will guide us through a gentle nature walk and shared learning experience. Lisa has also created an invitation/flyer for our gathering, which is attached to this email. Please feel welcome to print and share it with your teams, colleagues, and anyone who may be interested in attending!
Here’s what you need to know:
Location: Gary Harris Canada Games Centre (120 College Circle, Red Deer, AB T4N 0T7) 🌤️🌲
Meeting Point: South entrance of the Gary Harris Centre (see map below) 📍🍁
What to Wear: Weather-ready clothing and comfortable walking shoes 🌧️☂️
What to Bring: A water bottle with a holder, and a spirit of curiosity and connection ✨🙂
The green space behind the Gary Harris Centre is accessible by bus route and offers a beautiful natural setting, including a creek, pond, forest, trails, and hills. The walk will be gentle and not too physically demanding, but we will be outdoors, rain or shine, so please come prepared for the weather.
This will be our last collaborative gathering before the summer, and we hope it offers a calm and intentional opportunity to slow down, connect with the land, and continue building relationships with fellow child care professionals in Central Alberta.
