Colin McLean: Live at The Godown

Welcome to An Evening with Colin McLean!

We are excited to host leading Irish classical guitarist Colin McLean during his whirlwind trip to Amsterdam for a beautiful program that will showcase the wonderful sounds and warmth of the classical guitar. Colin will perform a mix of Spanish and South American solo works from the romantic to early and mid-20th century periods for classical guitar, including pieces by Tarrega, Pujol and Piazzolla. Colin will also be joined by friend and guitarist Michael Crowley, who entranced the crowd at a solo recital held just a few weeks ago.

Two amazing guitarists who will bring their undeniable Irish charm - who can resist?

Doors open at 7.30pm and the performance will start at 8pm.

About the artist

Colin McLean has been performing throughout Ireland for the past 15 years, playing in many different and major venues in Ireland including the National Concert Hall, Cork Opera House and the Concert Hall Limerick. Colin has toured extensively with different groups encompassing various genres and has played concertos with orchestras and given solo, duo, trio, and quartet recitals both in Ireland and abroad. He regularly tours with Fandango Duo and the Colin McLean Latin Trio, and was one of the founding members of the Irish Guitar Quartet.
