Dr. Hassan Sahouani will present the history, challenges, andsuccesses of the cultivation of wine and table grapes in
Minnesota. Along with his wife, Dawn, he founded Hawk Meadow
Winery in Denmark Township, at the southernmost tip of
Washington County. As well as a vineyard owner, Dr. Sahouani is
a scientist, attorney, and an elected supervisor on the Denmark
Town Board. This event is held in collaboration with Denmark
Township Historical Society and is free to the public.
