In CBCT® (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training), compassion is understood as warm-hearted concern that arises when we witness suffering and feel motivated to relieve it. Commissioned by HH the Dalai Lama, CBCT is a secular, evidence-based program rooted in the Lojong mind-training tradition. Through meditation, reflection and discussion participants cultivate eight core capacities, including attention, self-compassion, gratitude, and compassion for others.
