About this Event
Do you like sewing or crafting? Join us on Saturday October 18th for our first Coffee with Friends of the season with our speaker Holly Greenberg. Holly is the founder and director of Bird Collisions in the Anthropocene, a national nonprofit conservation and community art project based in Evanston, IL. They use art and public education to prevent bird building collisions—and need your help! Bring your crafty energy to kick off Coffee with Friends this fall and create a bird to represent one of the 10,863 birds, to match the number of birds found on the streets of Chicago in 2023 after they hit glass in one of the deadliest bird strike events seen in the US.
Doors open at 8:30am, the presentation will start at 9am
Come for the coffee and snacks, stay for the good conversation
This talk is free, but we ask that you let us know you're coming for this one so we can have enough materials prepared for everyone!
