Have you been telling yourself that you really want to get more involved in your community next year, volunteer more, and make some new friends? Come and check out Coon Rapids Women of Today. We’ve been involved in Coon Rapids and the surrounding communities since 2016. We volunteer at ACBC Food Shelf every month, we collect donations for Haven 4 Heroes, we conduct an annual supply drive for Hope 4 Youth, we serve meals and conduct supply drives for Alexandra House, we conduct school supply drives, we’ve decorated senior living facilities for the holidays, we donated a freezer to Mercy Hospital for their Mother Baby Center’s Milk Depot, we’ve adopted Mercy Park and clean it every few months, and the list goes on. We have a great time together too, whether we’re having dinner or a picnic, running 5K’s, playing haunted Halloween mini-golf, paddle boarding, knitting and crocheting together, reading together for our book club, there’s something for everyone, and we’re always open to new ideas. If you’d like to learn more about us, please join us for coffee on Saturday, November 16 or Saturday, December 14, 9:30 - 11:00 am, at Riverdale Panera. You can also join us for our next general meeting on Monday, December 2, at the Coon Rapids Civic Center. We have social time at 6:00 pm, and our meeting begins at 6:30 pm.
