About this Event
Coffee and Chat at Alcester Library
Take a break at Coffee and Chat — a relaxed and welcoming session for adults to enjoy listening to speakers on different topics or take part in an activity, followed by a warm drink.
These sessions are great for:
- Learning about topics from guest speakers
- Meeting new people in a friendly and informal setting
- Enjoying a calm moment in your day with a cup of tea or coffee
- Discovering what our libraries offer
Schedule of 2026 speakers:
- August 17th: Stephen Godfrey - Turning Pages. The story of our public libraries
- September 21st: Dr Val Trim - The PANORAMA: Spectacle, virtual realities, simulacra, entertainment (19th-century immersive entertainment for the masses).
- October 19th: Local caricature artist - John Evans
- November 16th: Walking the Camino de Santiago - Leigh Clucas Walton
- December 21st: Christmas Singalong
Time: 10.00am
Date: 3rd Monday of the month
Age: 16+
Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
