Want a proper seaside day out? We’re doing a relaxed coastal walk from Ramsgate to Margate, passing through Broadstairs and the stunning Botany Bay. Expect cliff-top views, sandy bays (yes, swim spots if the weather is good), and classic seaside vibes all day.
And bonus: Broadstairs Folk Week will be on, plus Margate Pride in town later, so the whole area should feel really lively.

- Meet: 8:30 AM at London King’s Cross Station (IFO / Bird Cage, Battle Bridge Place)
- Start: Ramsgate Station
- Finish: Margate Station
- Distance: 15.7 km (9.8 miles)
- Walk time: around 6 hours (plus stops)
- Difficulty: 4/10
- Full day: at least 8 hours (trains + breaks + food)
- Estimated back in London: around 8:00 PM

We travel together there and back from the same station. If you plan to return separately or get off elsewhere, please buy your own individual ticket in advance.

What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes/boots (boots if you have them), waterproof jacket and trousers (recommended), water (at least 1 litre, ideally 2), lunch for a picnic stop, and a bit of money for food/drinks afterwards (optional).
