Whether you’re a pro, a hobbyist, or just game dev curious, you’ll find your people here. Let’s build something amazing together.

We’re excited to welcome a veteran game writer and narrative director Richard Dansky whose career spans more than 60 video game titles across AAA blockbusters, experimental indies, VR, tabletop RPGs, and LARPs. With over two decades of experience at Ubisoft’s Red Storm Entertainment—where they served as Central Clancy Writer for the Tom Clancy franchise—they’ve since led narrative teams at Crytek on Hunt: Showdown and most recently at Romero Games. Their work has shaped worldbuilding, storytelling, and transmedia strategies for some of the industry’s biggest titles and franchises.
Beyond games, they’re also an accomplished author with publications ranging from fiction to nonfiction, including the upcoming The Video Game Writer’s Guide to Surviving an Industry That Hates You, the novel Nightmare Logic, and the graphic novel Bridgewater. A frequent industry speaker and advisor, they’ve served on the Game Narrative Summit advisory board for nearly 20 years and regularly judge at GDC. Their passion lies in advancing the craft of narrative design and sharing their expertise with the next generation of creators.
