About this Event
CNY ASM Inaugural Meeting – Culturing Connections
Registration Closes on October 5th or when the event reaches capacity.
Join us this October at SUNY ESF in Syracuse, New York, for the inaugural meeting of the newly re-established Central New York Branch of the American Society for Microbiology. This one-day meeting will bring together students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, industry scientists, clinicians, and other professionals from across the region to share research, foster collaborations, and strengthen the Central New York microbiology community.
Reflecting the diversity of microbiology in our region, the scientific program will feature invited talks spanning the full breadth of the microbial sciences—from human health, infectious disease, and host-microbe interactions to microbial physiology, genetics, environmental microbiology, biotechnology, and other applied microbiology disciplines. Whether your work is fundamental or translational, laboratory- or field-based, this meeting offers opportunities to learn from colleagues working across the microbial sciences.
Trainees are invited to present their research during a poster session featuring rapid flash talks, providing an opportunity to receive valuable feedback, connect with scientists from across the region, and compete for poster awards.
Registration includes lunch and light refreshments. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate the launch of a vibrant new chapter for microbiology in Central New York and help cultivate new scientific connections across disciplines, institutions, and career stages.
