Clothing Swap
About this Event
Join us August 21 & 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to browse available items and take home clothing at no cost. With the new school year just around the corner, it's the perfect opportunity to find back-to-school clothes for growing kids while supporting a more sustainable community. Whether you're donating, swapping, or simply browsing, every item reused helps conserve valuable natural resources.
The fashion industry uses enormous amounts of water and resources to produce clothing, so choosing to reuse and swap items is a simple way to conserve water, reduce textile waste, and keep usable clothing out of landfills. Whether you're cleaning out your closet or looking for a few "new" additions, this event is a fun and sustainable way to refresh your wardrobe.
To help us prepare, we encourage the community to drop off clean, gently used clothing at the Agriculture & Extension Service Office (located at 1303 17th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221) before the event during normal business hours (Mon-Fri, 8-5). Donations will also be accepted during the event. We welcome clothing for men, women, and children, including shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, shoes, hats, purses, and backpacks.
