About this Event
What’s old to you will be new to someone else, and swapping your clothes instead of donating them ensures they stay out of landfills.
What to bring and expect:
- Bring 3-7 clothing items that you no longer love.
- Items should be clean and in good condition. Think: something you’d be excited to give to a friend!
- No jewelry or undergarments, please.
- Full-length mirrors will be provided so you can try things on.
- Items left over after the swap will be donated to a local shelter.
About the Facilitator:
Rebecca Iglesias is an Inner Sunset resident who loves clothing swaps! Having attended them in Portland, OR and Los Angeles, CA, it seemed like the Inner Sunset needed one, too. She enjoys the treasure hunt of finding used clothing, and since having a child has found that her style has changed, leaving her with clothes she no longer wears and that she would love to see go to someone new!
About Sunset Commons:
Carmen and Steven started Sunset Commons to provide a space to connect and build community through arts and craft activities led by talented local artists. Inspired by a love for creativity and a desire to foster connection in the Sunset District, we envisioned a “third space” where neighbors can gather, unwind, and form meaningful relationships. Our mission is to empower self-expression, boost confidence, and offer an inclusive haven for everyone, from introverts seeking a calm environment to those enjoying health-focused traditional teas. Sunset Commons is not just a business - it’s our way of enriching the community we love and to the city we both grew up in.
