Clothing repair workshop

This session is all about giving your clothes a second life.
We’ll guide you through simple techniques like darning, patching, and basic hand stitching, showing how everyday wear and tear can be transformed into something both functional and uniquely personal.

The workshop will begin with a short introduction and demonstration, followed by time to practice on sample materials before working on your own items, with plenty of support and one-to-one guidance throughout.

Participants are encouraged to bring along one or two pieces of clothing in need of repair, anything from worn denim to knitwear, and leave with the skills and confidence to keep mending at home.

As part of Climate Action Week, this workshop highlights the impact of textile waste and offers a practical, creative way to reduce it. By extending the life of our clothes, we can move away from fast fashion and towards more mindful, sustainable habits.
