Closing Party for IDENTITIES Show

Join us to celebrate the closing of Hidemi Takagi's show IDENTITIES , at Open Source Gallery. Everyone is invited to see the exhibit, meet the artist, and enjoy refreshments. Kids are welcome!

is a photography and interview project centering mixed-race teenagers. Takagi builds long term relationships with the teenagers to gather stories that are both visual and verbal, composing complex and whimsically self-costuming portraits of mixed-race life and its public and private faces.

Open Source Gallery is an arts-based non-profit organization inspired by the open source movement. In the spirit of this free exchange of knowledge, we provide a forum where art intersects with the community and the world at large. Open Source energizes a diverse and creative community for people of all ages and backgrounds with an emphasis on expression, experimentation, sustainability, and social engagement.
