Closing Night Screening — Sirât — Italian & French Film Festival 2026

A visually and existentially intense work, Sirât confirms Oliver Laxe as one of the most singular voices in contemporary European cinema. This closing-night screening marks a rare opportunity to experience Sirât on the big screen in of the most beautiful film palaces in the United States, as the culmination of four days of Italian and French cinema.

Taking place March 27–30, 2026, the Italian and French Film Festival presents a curated selection of contemporary Italian and French films, accompanied by guest introductions, scholarly conversations, and receptions featuring Italian and French cuisine!

Screenings take place on the University of Richmond campus and in the city, with the Byrd Theatre hosting the festival’s closing event.
