Join us for the public opening of Still in Motion. Built on Rhythm., a Black History Month exhibition celebrating Detroit’s cadence, creativity, and collective resilience.

This exhibition explores the rhythm of the city where what is often labeled hustle is revealed as discipline and what is reduced to toughness becomes commitment. The works on view reflect movement, balance, repetition, and flow across mediums and narratives. At the center is Detroit’s greatest abundance, its people. Rich in culture, creativity, and the ability to turn pressure into progress. Here, art feels lived in, alive, and accessible because in a city built on rhythm, creativity gains power when it moves, connects, and finds home beyond the wall.
