The First Congregational Church of Southington is offering a unique experience for those interested in a bird’s-eye view of Southington: a guided climb to the top of its steeple! With a limited number of tickets available, this fundraiser will allow participants to ascend the scaffolding, accompanied by safety measures including wooden walkways with railings. You’re encouraged to bring binoculars or cameras to capture the incredible view from above. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the WISE Committee, supporting initiatives in alignment with the church’s mission to welcome, include, support, and engage individuals experiencing mental health challenges. A key initiative this year is a community block party on May 18, 2025. This event promises live music, a bounce house, treats, face painting, and informational booths from local mental health agencies to raise awareness and provide resources for mental wellness. Tickets to climb the steeple are priced at $500 each.
