Climate Week NYC: People-Focused. Climate-Friendly. Food-Forward NYC.
About this Event
On Monday, September 21st, join Food Tank and the New York City's Mayor's Office at WNYC-NPR Studios’ The Greene Space in New York City.
To kick off a weeklong series of Climate Week programming, Food Tank will focus on its home base: New York City’s food system. In partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Food Policy, the Monday evening program will explore what a food-forward and climate-friendly New York City reflects the great diversity of New Yorkers. Food systems are not all created equal – or equitably – and the solution is more inclusion on and off the menu. Featuring City agencies that have pioneered innovative nutritious, delicious meal programs that support their unique populations’ well-being and reflect their cultures, this session investigates how equity and inclusivity are foundational to a food system that promotes the health of people and the planet.

Location: WNYC Studios' The Greene Space, 44 Charlton Street, New York, NY 10014
