On Thursday, September 24th, join Food Tank, RAAPID, and Arrell Food Institute for “Acting at the Speed of Crisis: Challenges & Opportunities for Food Security Rapid Response" at WNYC-NPR Studios’ The Greene Space in New York City for an exclusive, invitation-only event as part of Climate Week NYC.
Food security emergencies are becoming more frequent, more complex, and more interconnected, driven by conflict, climate change, economic instability, and public health crises. Responding effectively requires not only speed, but stronger coordination across governments, nonprofits, researchers, and the private sector. This timely conversation, presented by Food Tank, RAAPID, and the Arrell Food Institute, will explore how organizations can rapidly mobilize resources, leverage innovation, and build more resilient systems to meet urgent food security needs. Speakers will examine the challenges of responding in moments of crisis while identifying opportunities to strengthen preparedness, collaboration, and long-term resilience for communities around the world.
