Cleveland Youth Safety Summit

The Cleveland Unit for the Reduction of Violence (CURV) is hosting a partnership event to explore how youth violence in Cleveland Police force area can be reduced.

The Youth Safety Summit will bring together key stakeholders to hear about the violent experiences of young people in our area, and to understand the ripple effect this violence has on our communities.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear about positive work that is already ongoing to reduce violence in Cleveland, before taking part in workshops to develop new solutions that their organisation may be able to play a role in delivering.

To help inform these workshops, attendees will hear ideas about how to reduce knife crime from young people living in the Cleveland area.

The event will be opened by Police and Crime Commissioner Matt Storey and will feature presentations from Cleveland Police, Youth Endowment Fund and Thirteen Housing.
